COZZ was established in 2016 as a branch organisation of Uni Global Union to help workers organise within existing trade unions in Central and Eastern Europe. COZZ is composed of union organisers, trainers and researchers skilled to plan and conduct organising campaigns in workplaces and focused on workers emancipation and democratization of work relations, especially in the service sector. We have 4 years of experience of helping and organising with care workers in Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary, having such successes as reaching better health and safety conditions at work, substantial pay rise, and bringing workers’ voice to negotiation with the Ministries responsible for social policies in Poland and Czech Republic.
